Communications Coordinator

Interstates is growing and seeking someone like you to join our team.  As a Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating activities and information for the Interstates Foundation and supporting internal communication needs across the company.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Field, filter and make decisions on Interstates Foundation contribution support requests or seek input for larger/unique decisions.
  • Plan and organize Foundation board meetings, capture and track action items during meetings and ensure follow-up after meetings.
  • Communicate regular Foundation updates with board members, assist with the onboarding and offboarding of board members.
  • Support internal communications and maintain internal communication tools.
  • Lead the internal scholarship process and work with the recruiting team on external scholarships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Interstates stakeholders at all levels within the organization.
  • Manage Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer’s calendar and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with other related activities as needed.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, HR, or Business-related field.
  • Would also consider an Associate's Degree with 2-4 years equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Strong communication (verbal, written, listening) skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to coordinate and drive a project forward are important.

Travel: Travel may be required up to 10%.
