Interstates is growing, and we are currently seeking a Receptionist to join our Team. The Receptionist will be responsible for developing and facilitating the relationship with clients for Interstates. Interstates seeks adaptable, detail-oriented individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our Team and external clients.

  • Answer the phones
  • Direct calls to specified departments.
  • Greet visitors
  • Keep the break rooms clean.
  • Perform administrative duties as requested
  • Assisting the accounting department as required
  • Additional cleaning due to COVID
  • Keep office organized
  • Order office supplies
  • Order lunches
  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: This position requires good organizational skills and must be capable of working with little or no direct supervision. Must possess sound judgment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work and deal with stress.  This position requires the ability to portray and convey a positive image of self to employees and visitors and the ability to maintain a degree of confidentiality. This position requires a pleasing phone voice and excellent phone etiquette.  Good computer skills are required, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others.  Must be capable of handling the work schedule and attendance policies required at Interstates.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Years of experience: 1-2 years of experience is preferred, but not required.

Travel: Travel will be required potentially for orientation in Sioux Center, Iowa.
